What's the ideal age to photograph my newborn?
The absolute BEST time to take newborn photos is within the first 10 days of life. Older newborns tend to not sleep as soundly and don't "curl" as a younger newborn does. The images seen in the galleries are of newborn babies all under 2 weeks of age.
When should I schedule my newborn session?
As soon as possible! I only book a limited number of sessions each month, so I highly recommend booking while you are still pregnant. This way I can mark your due date on my calendar and be prepared for your little one's arrival. If you wait to contact me after your baby is born, there is a chance that I will not be able to take your session in the necessary 5-10 day window. Once your baby arrives we will determine the best time to do the session and confirm a final date.
What should my newborn wear?
Your baby will be photographed without clothes or with a diaper/diaper cover. I will also take photos of your little one swaddled in blankets/wraps and wearing headbands/hats.
When should I schedule my maternity session?
Maternity sessions are usually done between the 32nd and 36th week of pregnancy. I recommend booking a month in advance of your session date.
